Economic-Financial Evaluation

Customized support to meet clients' specific needs, addressing strategic and technical issues in the energy sector.

About

The economic-financial evaluation of electric power generation assets is an essential activity in the investment decision-making process. It is evaluated probabilistically, with the use of the proprietary software OptValue, for new and existing assets, within the most varied contexts such as generation auctions, merger and acquisition processes, estimation of the asset’s fair value for rent, and due diligence.

What we do

Probabilistic cash flow modeling

Probabilistic analysis makes it possible to evaluate financial exposure in various scenarios and estimate certain return metrics considering limits for, for example, the acceptable value at risk.

Analyses that make it possible to evaluate the impact on return for different scenarios of generation, energy prices, allocation of credits in the MRE, thermoelectric dispatch, CAPEX evolution, as well as regulatory changes such as, for example, a change in the physical guarantee review rule.

Evaluations that present classic and easily interpreted metrics such as internal rate of return (IRR), net present value (NPV), and payback.

Analyses that can be presented and discussed with the support of executive reports or more detailed documents, depending on the client’s needs.
