What we do
Distributors' balance and demand from energy auctions
Through the balance of load and contracts of the distributors, PSR evaluates the risks of over-contracting due to the migration of consumers to the free market or the expansion of distributed generation, as well as estimating the volumes of contracts exchanged in Surplus and Deficit Compensation Mechanisms (MCSD) and the demands in the Existing Energy and New Energy Auctions.
Contract balance of the free market
Comparison of the uncontracted supply in the captive market with the demand of free consumers to estimate the potential availability of contracts in the free market, for conventional and incentivized energy, and to infer movements of contract prices and the premium for incentivized energy.
Demand of reserve auctions
Estimation of the contracting needs for energy reserve and capacity reserve, simulating the need to review the physical guarantees of generators and the system’s adequacy to the official criteria of supply security, respectively.
