What we do
Overview of the Brazilian electric sector
Structure and operation of the energy market in Brazil, including the historical evolution of the electric mix, the main agents and regulatory bodies, as well as the models of generation, transmission, distribution, and commercialization.
Contracts in the energy market
The main existing contractual modalities in both the Regulated Contracting Environment (ACR) and the Free Contracting Environment (ACL), including PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements) and bilateral contracts. In addition, the price formation in each market is addressed.
Free electric energy market
Operation of the Free Contracting Environment (ACL), presenting the opportunities and challenges for consumers and generators, and the schedule for the market opening.
Micro and distributed mini-generation
Regulation, economic viability, and business models that make the implementation of these systems feasible.
