About
Coordination of hydroelectric inventory studies for hydroelectric plants, being technically responsible for the hydrometeorological and energy studies. In the preliminary studies phase, the HERA software is used, developed over three Research and Development projects, and authorized by ANEEL as an official tool for inventory studies, with the objective of defining the fall partitioning alternatives to be taken for the final studies, taking into consideration the integrated environmental assessment for all scenarios.
What we do
Coordination of inventory studies
Technical coordination of various topics of interest to studies using the HERA model as a participatory tool, ensuring transparency and agility in the process of defining the best alternative based on technical, economic, and socio-environmental consensus.
Preparation of hydrometeorological and energy studies
Collection and analysis of hydrological and meteorological data, obtaining series of average flows, evaluation of maximum and minimum flows, energy simulation of alternatives for dividing falls in any hydrographic basin.
Proposition and comparison of fall partitioning alternatives
Identification of dam sites, with intensive application of the HERA model, energy sizing of project alternatives allowing for the generation of various alternatives for dividing waterfalls, taking into account physical and socio-environmental constraints.
Sizing of the structures and equipment of the engineering layout
With the application of the HERA Model tools, which integrate the spreadsheets in the Inventory Manual, for the dimensioning of hydraulic structures and electromechanical equipment.
Calculation of volumes and project budgeting
Calculation of structure volumes and definition of costs according to Eletrobrás’ standard budget accounting system, considering the unit cost parameters for the region of interest.
Application of a participatory approach in the coordination of socio-environmental studies
Presentation and discussion with various stakeholders to select the best division of waterfalls in the watershed, considering the results of the integrated environmental assessment applied to the various alternatives analyzed.
Preparation and assembly of secondary databases
Collection and analysis of data available for preliminary studies in the HERA environment, and subsequent definition of terms of reference and complementary field services as necessary.
