This case study addresses the feasibility of using innovative energy technologies, such as biomass/biochar, agricultural waste, solid waste, and urban effluents, as alternatives to charcoal in integrated steel mills that use coke. This study serves as a model for other plants in the country, aiming to improve the understanding of relevant innovative technologies, energy sources, and crucial variables in assessing the economic and technical feasibility of adopting different raw materials and in the continuous development of projects.
