Technical Director

She has been the technical director and coordinator of the energy regulation area at PSR since 2009. She is responsible for regulatory advisory studies for sector agents, associations, institutions, and government agencies; she has worked in various arbitration proceedings as a technical assistant; and has also participated in Research & Development projects as a researcher or coordinator.

  • MSc in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Energy Systems – PUC-Rio

  • BSc in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Power Systems – UFF

Professional Experience

  • Participation in arbitration proceedings, assisting clients and their attorneys in building the technical/regulatory foundation necessary to defend their claims with technical consistency.

  • Participation in regulatory due diligence for energy generation and distribution assets in Brazil, identifying current and potential risks and opportunities posed by electricity sector regulation to business models.

  • Evaluation of energy supply strategies for large and medium-sized consumers in light of current regulations and potential regulatory changes.

  • Guidance to international investors on the functioning of the Brazilian electricity sector’s regulatory model.

  • Planning Strategic, assisting clients who wish to structure their business models taking into account possible developments in the regulatory framework.

  • Preparation of proposals for developments in the Brazilian electricity sector’s regulatory framework.

  • Regulatory integration of the electricity and gas sectors.

  • Research & Development activities, where, among other activities, PSR seeks the state of the art in international regulatory practices that can help address new issues in the country.

  • Author and co-author of technical articles published in journals and presented at national and international seminars and conferences, where she also participates as a speaker.
